Do you feel like you’re doing everything “right” but still aren’t getting the results you want!? Here’s one overlooked area to consider.

Hear me out. In all honesty, how much are you moving during the day? (Not including your workouts.)
The National Academy of Sports Medicine calls this the “low-hanging fruit” of keeping your metabolism fired up.
All you have to do is find simple ways to creep activity into your day:
Stand instead of sit. Or alternate between the two all day.
Get up every 30-60 minutes to stretch or take a brief walk (even if it’s just to the printer or water cooler).
Find ways to add activity to your evenings – clean up. Play with the kids or pets. Ten-minute walk after your dinner.
I know these sound simple, but returning to the basics is helpful when all else fails!
Non-exercise-activity thermogenesis (NEAT) is one of your body’s MAJOR calorie burners. Staying active as much as possible during the day will go a long way towards accelerating your results.
