THE TAO OF WOW: HOW I STOPPED SWEATING THWE SMALL STUFF
I just finished reading the Tao Te Ching for the third time, and wow, what a beautiful and insightful book! It was even better the third time around. If you still need to read it, I highly recommend it. One of the things that struck me the most was the deep connection to nature woven throughout the teachings.
I read the Steven Mitchel translation (pictured) and paired it with Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life" by Wayne Dyer. Each morning I would read a passage from the Tao and listen to Wayne Dyer's interpretation of that chapter. Wayne Dyer spent a year on the project and read many translations of the Tao to write his book.
The Tao, or the ultimate reality, is described as being all-encompassing and ever-present, just like the natural world around us. As we align ourselves with the Tao, we learn to flow with the rhythms of nature and find balance and harmony within ourselves and the world. Reading the Tao Te Ching has reminded me of the importance of connecting with the natural world and has left me grateful and centred.
Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life" by Wayne Dyer is a powerful and transformative read. It provides practical advice on how to apply the Tao's teachings to modern life. Dyer suggests that we can change our lives and find greater peace, happiness, and fulfilment by changing our thoughts.
One of the things I loved about this book is the daily passages and practices to help readers connect with the Tao and its teachings, which can guide personal growth and development. The daily passages provided wisdom and guidance on various topics, such as living in harmony with nature, finding inner peace, and overcoming obstacles. Reflecting on them has been incredibly valuable for my personal growth.
But the daily practices don't stop there. The book also encourages meditating on the daily passage, journaling, affirmations and visualization. These practices have helped me become more aware of the present moment, let go of negative thoughts and beliefs, and align myself with positive energies. The gratitude and action practices have been incredibly life-changing, giving me the drive to make positive changes in my life and be thankful for everything I have.
I highly recommend these two books to anyone looking to improve themselves and live a more fulfilled life. It's not just a book; it's a guide, a companion, and a friend that will stay with you on your journey. Give it a try, and you won't regret it.
